Quezon City was master planned by Harry T. Frost, architectural adviser of the Commonwealth government, with the assistance of Alpeus D. Williams, former director of the bureau of Public Works, and Juan M. Arellano who was one of the most outstanding architects of the country then. The Quadrangle in the heart of the City bounded by four avenues--- North, West, South and East--- was designed to be the site of the national government buildings.

In recent times, the Quezon City government through the assistance of World Bank and the Japanese consultancy firm, Almec Corporation, prepared the Triangle Park CBD Masterplan that aims to reinvent 250-hectares of land in the North and East Triangles and Veterans Memorial area of Quezon City into a mixed use district where businesses, residences and institutions converge.

Eton Centris lies at the heart of this Triangle Park CBD, with 600 meters of frontage along major thoroughfare, Epifanio de los Santos Avenue.  The proposed new main road that will usher entry into the CBD, the Parkway Loop, will also have its gateway within Eton Centris’ 12-hectares of development.

The Master Plan

A milestone project of Eton Properties Philippines Inc., Eton Centris is poised to change the skyline of Quezon City with its urbane master plan and distinctively modern architecture.  It will offer a seamless blend of posh residential towers, well-planned office blocks and vibrant retail and leisure destinations, providing a fully-integrated and self-contained lifestyle.

Some of the existing and upcoming components of Eton Centris

Centris Station- A two-level commercial centre with a direct link to the Quezon Avenue MRT station.  It is anchored by SM Hypermarket and hosts an interesting mix of specialty food outlets, specialty stores and service-oriented shops.

Centris Walk- This exciting strip is master-planned to be the new dining, lifestyle and entertainment capital of the metropolis. It caters to Metro Manila’s gourmet food enthusiasts, bar hoppers and party lovers. This new dining and lifestyle oasis will feature lush landscape, covered walks and pedestrian-friendly promenades, making use of “green architecture”.

Eton Cyberpod Centris- This is the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) office space component lined along EDSA. One Cyberpod Centris was completed last October 2009 while Two Cyberpod Centris is under construction and expected to be completed on the 1st Quarter of 2012.

Elements - This is an upcoming events venue that will be well located and suited to accommodating social functions like weddings, birthdays, family parties, and corporate functions like conferences and seminars.

One Centris Place - Eton Centris’ newest residential condominium that lies next to major thoroughfares through a direct walkway connected to Centris Station.

Other components eyed for development within Eton Centris include a hotel, medical tourism facilities, small offices/home offices, among others.

Eton Centris - more people-friendly and accessible

ETON Centris is situated at the corner of two major arteries connecting the metropolis - EDSA and Quezon Avenue. It is directly connected to Metro Rail Transit (MRT) - Quezon Avenue Station which allows people to have easy access to the new development. Developers are always hard pressed in ensuring the public views their development to be accessible and people-friendly, but with the advantageous location of Eton Centris, there is no struggle from Eton to deliver this feature to the market.

A “new lifestyle hub” at the heart of QC

Eton’s project wishes to conform to the vision of QC Government to develop the Triangle Park Central Business District as a globally competitive district.  As one of the first developments in the QC-CBD Triangle Park, ETON Centris intends to provide a semblance of a genteel and upscale lifestyle-- to live life in the city with style and glamour

The “Triangle CBD” concept

The Urban Triangle Development Commission (or TriDev Commission) with assistance from the World Bank formulated a comprehensive framework for the development of the Triangle Park CBD that is meant to transform the center of gravity of all commercial activity in Metro Manila to Quezon City in the coming years.  Based on the QC-CBD master plan, ETON Centris lies within the Triangle Exchange that will have the high traffic district with the highest land values. It is meant to serve as the center for mixed-use commercial, residential and office development, and thus Eton’s own master plan for the land is envisioned to accommodate the demands of the market as planned by local government

The Eton Centris Lifestyle

The ETON Centris Lifestyle embraces the concept of new urbanism where walkable and cyclable areas are considered through its landscaped and wide sidewalks, and where most, if not all conveniences are within reach.  As Eton Centris is envisioned to contain various land uses that make for a fully integrated lifestyle, the area will also be an excellent choice for families, young professionals, among others who prefer ease and accessibility.
